More Dallas Stories

Ok, the Albertson's story...

We stop by Albertson's in Rockwall (outside of Dallas) to grab some liquor.  As we were going through the aisles, we were wondering if any of us had our Albertson's club cards.  I just said I'll give my phone number.  After saying that, I was telling them that it's most likely the clerk will ask what area code is that.

So we're checking out, the clerk asks for a club card, I ask if I could give my phone number.  She says go for it, and I start reciting my number with percise diction.  Well, I guess Texans don't really pronounce the "t" in eight, because when I actually said eight, both the clerk and the cute bag boy thought I said eight-two.

Then they asked what area code was 510.  I told them San Francisco East Bay.  They were like, you're from California?!?, and then the cute bag boy asked why we voted for both Schwarzenegger and Kerry.  Oh boy... I was like, first off, the entire Bay Area region did not vote for Schwarzenegger or for the recall.  Second, I know this is Bush country, but Bush is a retard!  I thought it was funny that Texans thought we were retarded for voting for Arnold.  How sad is my own state?

After that exchange, the cute bag boy asked if we needed help out.  I diligently said no, but kinda wondered if he asked everyone that.  As Adam, Dan, and I were leaving, Dan said that he just wanted to gag him and have his way with him.  LOL

Flight back... Flight from Austin to Phoenix was boring.  PNX to SJC tough, had a interesting convo with a Santa Cruz High senior girl and a lady who was visiting family in Los Gatos.
