Interesting Traffic Ideas in Walnut Creek

I highly doubt this specific idea will go through. The residents in the nearby neighborhood already hate DLS/CHS existing there (despite the fact that the campuses are in Concord, right at the Concord/WC border). The funny thing is, I believe the campuses were there before the neighborhood... Hell, the administration had to cave in to the neighbors' demands to have no activity past 11 by threatening detention if we didn't physically leave campus 15 minutes after a campus dance! Oh, those were the days... Makes me remember the time Colleen's car was locked in the DLS parking lot. We left it there to go to Lyon's after a dance. She ended up driving over that small grass area between the 2 DLS brick signs, which caused Br. Mike to come out in just his nighttime attire.

Proposed road connections could link Wiget Lane in the Shadelands area to Winton Drive in the Carriage Square neighborhood, as well as Stratton Road off Bancroft Road to Lennon Lane in the Shadelands. Committee members were concerned, however, about new traffic impacting already congested streets near Carondelet and De La Salle high schools off Treat Boulevard. (CC Times)

EDIT: I'm realizing that the neighbors south of DLS/CHS would totally hate it, because if they did connect Widget to Winton, those commuting from Ygnacio Valley Rd. will have a somewhat direct route to campus, instead of going via Bancroft or Oak Grove.
