For those of you who don't know, "Cinequest is Northern California's premier motion picture institute that presents a soul-stirring and personable discovery festival of international films and digital media forums for movie lovers, Maverick film artists and film students." (from the Cinequest Website)
One of the documentaries that's in this year's festival and making its world premiere is "1". The documentary is basically about De La Salle Football and Coach Bob Ladouceur. There will be two showings of "1": Friday, 3/5 @ 7:15 and Saturday, 3/6 @ 9PM, both at the SJ Rep Theatre, located in downtown SJ. $9 General Admission, $7 for students with valid ID. Movie synopsis and ticket ordering info can be found here.
For those interested in seeing the DLS documentary, let me know... And for those who are thinking of hitting the bars in downtown SJ afterwards and need a place to crash, I've got you covered!
Another event happening during Cinequest is the Student Shorts Program. This year, there are 2 parts to this program. As always, there are several entries from SJSU's prestige TV-Radio-Film-Theatre Arts (TVRFT) program. I'm not sure which night is best... Maybe Chris Hale could give us some insight :)

If any of you are interested in seeing any of these, especially the DLS documentary, let me know.
BTW, I've been lagging in posting stuff that happened this weekend. I'll have that up tonight. Just to let you know, due to the nature of the post, I'll have to restrict it to The AB or Friend's Only on LJ. If you don't have access to The AB or I don't have you defined as a friend on LJ, IM me and I'll see about hooking you up with that ;)
DLS has an announcement on their website
