People I went to high school with on cereal boxes

I just stumbled upon this article in the Contra Costa Times on the top webpage, even though it was published last week.  It talks about how Carondelet graduate, Natalie Coughlin, should be on the Wheaties box.  This reminds me when I was at De La Salle, when the football team was on the back of the Mult-grain Cherrios box back in '97 (I think).

Damn, I remember the unveiling of the Cherrios box during a rally in the gym.  Of course, all of the local and national media was there.  I was in the band playing pep tunes.  In fact, I was on several TV news stations that day.  It was kinda cheezy... All of the players were individually handed a box of their own.  The rest of us rushed to the grocery store and bought the boxes in hordes.Now who still has their unopened Cherrios box with the DLS FB team on the back?!?  I still do.  LOL
